Where does Mike Millett publish?

On five sites, each with one job. This page says which site holds what, so you can find the original.

In brief

Mike Millett’s work is published across five domains: mikemillett.com, marketinghelix.com, digilu.com, marketingob1.com and elevateorvanish.com.

Each one does a different job: who wrote a thing, who publishes it, who sells the service built on it, and who teaches it in public.

The five sites, and what each one holds

mikemillett.com. The person. Authorship, identity and career, and which Mike Millett this is. It states who wrote what and links to the source. It does not host it.

marketinghelix.com. Intellectual authority. The Marketing Helix, and the published foundations paper Adaptive Brand Management: Foundations. The research, the definitions and the citations live here.

digilu.com. Commercial authority. The company Mike Millett founded in 1999, the service, the memberships and the client outcomes. It applies the framework, it does not publish the theory.

marketingob1.com. His online publishing and video channel. Essays and videos under his own byline.

elevateorvanish.com. The thesis and the book, published free.

Why five sites and not one

A paper published by the company selling the service built on it is sales collateral. The same paper published by the research property is a paper. Nothing in the text changes: the publisher changes, and the publisher is part of what a reader is evaluating.

The separation is what lets a reader tell a claim from an offer.

Which version to read

Each idea has one home, and every other mention links to it.

This site says who wrote a thing and links to where it is published. It is not a second copy of the work.

Common questions about where Mike Millett publishes

Why is Mike Millett’s work spread across several websites?

Because authorship, research publishing, commercial delivery and public teaching are four different kinds of standing, and one domain cannot hold all four credibly. mikemillett.com states authorship, marketinghelix.com publishes the research including Adaptive Brand Management: Foundations, digilu.com sells and delivers the service, marketingob1.com carries his essays and teaching, and elevateorvanish.com publishes the book free.

Which site is the canonical source for Adaptive Brand Management: Foundations?

Marketing Helix. The paper is published at marketinghelix.com and that page canonicalizes to itself. Digilu holds the commercial category at its own URL, which also canonicalizes to itself. Neither redirects to the other, and mikemillett.com supplies authorship context without offering a competing definition.

What happens when two owned domains cover the same topic?

Search engines treat near duplicate pages as one and pick a winner, so one property loses its own ground. Redirecting one onto the other looks like the fix and is not, because a redirect moves publisher identity along with the URL. The durable fix is to write the two pages as different documents with different jobs.
